What Are Role Play Tokens?

Role play tokens are our way of encouraging Role Play and our way of making it clear Power Builds are nice but not required to survive here.
NOTE: TOKENS will not be handed out for every act or incident of RP nor every quest so please do not demand nor beg for them. This will most likely lead to losing tokens rather then gaining. So do not do it! You have been warned.
There are three tiers.
1. Lesser RP tokens-getting one of these does not mean your a lesser Rp'er, quite the contrary. These tokens are handed out when a DM witnesses a random act of RP that occurs without any interaction by the DM to cause it. A just for Rp'ing thank you token you could say.
2. Medium RP Token. These are handed out for writing a BIO (this helps us find rp appropriate quests for you as well) and for staying IC in a minor quest.
3. Epic/Greater RP Token. These are handed out at the end of a epic quest that perhaps spans several days or even weeks for PCs who stayed IC.
The Token SystemEdit
We have moved over to a new system for keeping track and managing of the RP tokens given out to players. To view the tokens you've been given using the new system, do the following:
- right-click
- select DBTools
- select "List my tokens"
This will show you a list of the tokens you've accumulated so far. Note that the conversion process from the old system (where you were given an item by a DM) to the new system will be done manually (that is, DMs will ask you to trade in your items and exchange you for tokens using the new system where no item is required).
When a token is given to you, you will see a message in your combat log (no item is necessary).
When a token is taken in exchange for a reward, you will see a message again saying it was taken.
The system is now much more simplified withno item tracking necessary and no extra items to carry around. We will be slowly moving over everyone that has the old item (the "RP Token"-type items) to the new system during the next few weeks.
Note that we're not actually changing the RP token system per se. We are simply making it easier to manage for our DMs and easier to maintain for players.
What Can I Get With My Tokens?Edit
All item properties are added to base items such as "a mundane longsword" unless otherwise specified. They cannot be used to augment a currently owned item.
For each token, choose one from the list.
Lesser RP TokenEdit
1. 600 XP
2. 1000 Gold
3. Two lesser RP tokens can be traded for a lower-end crafting recipe of your choice (see further below for Crafting section for more details)

RP TokenEdit
Choose ONE from the list below.
1. 3000 XP
2. 5000 gold
3. Item with a 3 bonus (i.e. Saves, Enchantment, AC, Ability)
4. Weapon with a 2 enchantment bonus and 1d6 elemental damage or 2 vampiric regen HOWEVER Vampiric Regen cannot be coupled with other damage types just enchantment bonus
5. Weapon with a 1 enchantment bonus and holy/unholy damage (i.e. 1d6 magical damage vs good/evil)
6. Item with a 2 Bonus and up to 10 Hit Points
7. DR Items (Magic, Slashing, X/-, Bludgeoning, Energy, etc), DR 5/- Magical for Medium Token
8. DR One Energy type 20/- for Medium
9. item with 8 skill points total (max 5 per skill, max 4 skills)

11. Two medium RP Tokens can be used to request a high-end crafting recipe of your choice (see crafting section further down).
12. Two medium RP Tokens can be used to request a mundane mithral armor/shield or an adamantine armor/weapon. (see Special Materials/Components at bottom of list).
13. Two medium RP Tokens can be used to request an item with a combination of the above (3 through 9) properties on the same item. You will need to send an email to staffdalelands@gmail.com in order to make use of this rule (please don't ask a DM in-game).
NOTE: We generally enforce a rule of a maximum of two properties on an item, so keep this in mind before making a request. If you request too many separate properties on a single item, your request may be declined.

Greater/Epic RP TokenEdit
Choose ONE from the list below.
1. 15,000 XP
2. Item with a 4 bonus (i.e. Saves, Enchantment, AC, Ability) as well an additional property of a regular RP token
3. An item with a 20 skill points total (max 10 per skill, max 4 skills)
4. Items with up to 25 Hit Points

6. DR 10/- Magical
7. DR 50 for one Energy Type or DR 20 for two types.
8. Once per a day spells (up to level 9) can be requested and granted upon our discretion - Spell level 9, 8, and 7 would be 1/day. 6, 5, 4 would be up to
2/day, and 3, 2, 1 would be up to 3/day
9. A single feat bonus can be requested and granted upon our discretion. As a general rule, please do not ask for a feat you wouldn't qualify for, or for a very powerful feat (i.e. requests such as Hide in Plain Sight, Automatic Still Spell, Song of Requiem, Ki Critical etc. will be declined)
NOTE: Epic token items cannot be augmented further by adding more RP tokens.
CraftingEdit
- two lesser tokens can be used to exchange for a recipe of your choice (up to +3)
- one RP tokens can be used to exchange for a recipe of your choice (any recipe)
Special Materials/ComponentsEdit
- Cold Iron, Darksteel, and Alchemical Silver all count as one bonus (i.e. instead of +3 Weapon, +2 Weapon of special material)
- an Adamantine weapon with a +3 enhancement can be exchanged for 2 Medium RP Tokens (no swaps/trades for the +3 enhancement)
- an Adamantine armor with a +3 Armor Bonus can be exchanged for 2 Medium RP Tokens (no swaps/trades for the +3 armor bonus)
- Mithral Armour (with no extra enchantments) can be exchanged for 2 Medium RP Tokens
- Duskwood/Zalantar to be decided
- other features (i.e. Vampiric Regeneration, Unlimited Arrow bonuses) to be decided
OtherEdit
We no longer allow RP Tokens to be transferred between a player's character accounts. (here)
We do -not- allow people to sell/trade their DM-given equipment. What this means is that if a DM gives you a reward in the form of an item, you are not allowed to sell it for a profit or trade it to other people. In the case of RP Tokens, if you wish to donate something to a friend (or similar situation), then that is acceptable, just remember to mention this to the DM when you exchange the token.
No items with permanent Haste or permanent Regeneration will be given.
Special uses
Housing/guildhallsEdit
-A "house" which consists of two bedrooms and living space costs 2 Greater RP tokens plus 500,000 gold in a apartment like interior area (though it's door in maybe linked to what looks to be a freestanding home and Rp'ed that way for server space several house interiors maybe in one area)
-Guildhall A guildhall consists of several living spaces and a private guild merchant who will offer better prices and to start two custom items chosen by the guild members, Guilds cost 5 greater tokens but they can be from several toons who will be in the guild and 1,000,000 gold additional items to store will also cost 500,000 gold please see guilds for further rules
