Crafting - what can I make?Edit

You can add enchantments to exiting items using a recipe, magic and ingredients and a feat, and you can create new items using a recipe, ingredients and crafting skills.

Finding RecipesEdit

These are dropped by various creatures or found in chests. Some recipes might be available from vendors in the future.

MiningEdit

You need a pickaxe, available from some merchants, and a good amount of Strength. Plus the Ore seam, of course.

Ingots and certain gems are both useful for crafting.

Some ores in the Underdark can only be mined by Drow.

How can I craft?Edit

There are two main different branches to crafting.

Recipes -> crafting an item such as a darksteel longsword.

Enchantments -> applying a bonus property to an item (i.e. AC +2 or Constitution +2). You need the "Craft Magical Arms and Armor" feat as well as magical ability.

EnchantmentsEdit

Things NeededEdit

- The "Craft Magical Arms and Armor" feat

- Magical Ability ( the correct magic spell )

- The Item

- A certain amount of gold

- The recipe for the enchantment

- To be near the Crafting Bench

To activate the enchantmentEdit

Put the ingredients (eg fire essence) on the crafting bench. Stand near the crafting bench.

Activate the “Recipe: Enchantment” on the item you wish to enchant

If you are missing any component, it will provide you with a message saying what you’re missing.

RecipesEdit

Things NeededEdit

- A certain number of ranks in the Craft Weopon, Craft Armour or Craft Alchemy skill (depending on the item)

- The mold (weopons) / recipe (alchemy)

- The Ingredients eg 3 cold iron ingots for a larger cold iron weopon.

- A certain amount of gold

- The recipe for the enchantment

- for alchemy, a mortar & pestle

- To be near the Crafting Bench, either Smithing or Alchemy

To make the item Edit

Put the ingredients (eg ingots) on the crafting bench.

Stand near the crafting bench.

Activate the Mold or the Recipe on the item you wish to enchant

If you are missing any component, it will provide you with a message saying what you’re missing.

Where can I craft?Edit

At the moment benches are located:

- inside the General Store in Shadowdale

- in the Mage Store in Myth Drannor

- in the Underdark

Are you clicking on the item to be enchanted, not on yourself?
